It seems that I don’t have the same level of humour everyone has but what’s funny about the photo?
The shot is taken in one of the many impoverished neighbourhoods in the city. As surprisingly as it may sound, poor people do need to do their hair sometimes, especially before a wedding or a ceremony of some kind! Since they cannot afford going to “Shams El Din” in Abu Romaneh, this place does it for them. The owner of this “Salon” probably cannot afford any better banner or maybe to rent a place downtown!
I never find “Only in Syria” posts funny….cuz they are not…they are simply making fun of the poor people for their miserable style of life….so again, what’s so funny about that?

its not about Funny or make fun :) , its just something NICE to see it , and let me tell u about this place its NOT cheap and inside the door is something COOL and they do a good work there
its not shame :) i feel proud when see ppl like that , doing WHAT IT NEED to earn and live well :)

ردا على السيد احسان , أولا إحنا مش ولاد ذوات ولا ولاد مليونيريه أغلبنا هون وإذا مش كلنا من الطبقة المتوسطةوالفقيرة اللي إذا بدها تروح تقص شعرها بتروحش مش على صالون مروان خير لكن بتروح عالصالون اللي بآخر الشارع أبو الليره ونص ثانيا ومين قلك إنو الفقرا حياتهم ميزيربل بالعكس الشغلة مو بالمصاري الشغلة بالقناعة وراحة البال ممكن واحد فقير يكون سعيد أكثر من الغني…..وبعدين تعليقاتنا إذا لاحظت على شكل المحل مو على الفقرا وليش هما نفسهم بعلقوا عحالهم وبضحكوا …..
