Very good post Qabbani, I experienced all what you mentioned in the 2 times I joined the group for biking trips, the spit
and the dogs 
are the most memorable though! damn… :)

شوف هي المشكلة اللي صايره عنا هون إلها عدة أسباب أولا زي ما قلت قلة توعية سواء من قبل الأهل أو المدارس بإنهم لازم يحترموا السائح أو الأجنبي , ثانيا وهو الأرجح إنو نحنا العرب بنضل عرب وعمرنا ما راح نتقدم ولا نتطور وثالثا العيلة عندي اتجمعت عالصوت فكرها أخوي عالتلفون

، نحن بسوريا غير، نحن كتير متحضرين، نحن لما منشوف شلة دراجين، منحترمهم كتير، بالعلامة كل واحد بيركب على مسكليتو، وبيشد وراكم، خصوصاً إذا في عنصر نسائي 
ساعتها منصير صاروخ، بس المهم نوصل جنبها، ونقلها يا حلوة، عطيني بوسة..

My Name is Ahmad Al-Shoqran, and yes I’m from Ramtha. I heard your posting regarding your “interesting” trip from Ramtha to Amman. When I go back home to Ramtha, during the summer break, I try to keep up my exercising routine of jogging; however, I never faced any hostility doing that.
I’m not trying to deny or under mine the terrible experienced you and your colleagues faced on the road. However, I believe it is the way of having such a big group with females members caused the troubles you guys faced, which is our people in Jordan are not used to. May be by exposing the people to more bikers on the road, some day they will be more receptive/ less hostile toward future bikers.

Next time….put on ur jeans outfit, bta3tooha a bit paint scratched moded bikes,mods include:
-brake abu ijer
-sharasheeb tied to the steering made of paper OR of cassette tapes inner shreet.
-blue and red flashers synchronized with the crying baby horn,of course u don’t release the cry all at once,u rapidly repeat the 1st second of it a few times then release the rest of the cry.
-ou aham min kol hadawl a can of pepsi maf3oosa squeezed on top of the rear tire to give u the “trrrrr” sound.
…now enjoy the hassle free ride ou id3ooli.

فكرة التدوين الصوتي ممتازة وبخاصة أن أسلوبك بالكلام جيد جدا وطبعا القصة متعلقة بهذه النقطة حصريا وأنا أرى أن تعيد التجربة ونرى وبالنسبة لما قلته في تدوينك فهذه القضية تشكل مشكلة مزمنة ستراها في كل مكان في هذا الوطن وطبعا كلمة وطن هي شاملة وليست فاصلة والشيء الوحيد الذي يستحب أن تواجه به هذه التصرفات هو الصبر ومع الزمن ستتحسن الأمور وعلى فكرة عندنا في سوريا هناك مناطق اذا مارست فيها هذا النوع من الرياضة ستجد أن هذه المظاهر اختفت نهائيا وبالعكس سيتم تشجيعك بطريقة لبقة ولكن تبقى هذه الأماكن محدودة بالمدن الرئيسية فقط بعيدا عن أطراف المدينة

looool….That was funny! Everything you said is very true, however, don’t lose hope, I’m sure things will change with time :P (they already are, which is great!). It’s normal for people in the suburbs or outskirts to act this way. I can’t believe they actually threw rocks at you though, woow!! That’s scary hehehe, I’m glad no one was seriously injured.
